We are a company dedicated to the exploration,
development and operation of mineral assets.

Com 18 anos de experiência, atualmente estamos presentes em todas as regiões do país, com um portfólio diversificado que engloba uma ampla gama de minerais, tais como minério de ferro, ouro, níquel, terras raras, fosfato e calcário.

Possuímos projetos em diferentes etapas da atividade mineral, desde a etapa greenfield até a operação, e contamos com mais de 2100 colaboradores por todo o Brasil engajados em nosso propósito.

Atualmente, contamos com três operações de Minério de Ferro em Minas Gerais: as Minas Baratinha e Mongais, pertencentes ao Complexo Baratinha e a Mina Pedra Branca.

Além disso, a Bemisa possui uma operação de ouro em escala piloto no estado do Pará, em Água Azul do Norte, próxima ao distrito polimetálico de Carajás.

CEO of Bemisa's Group since 2008, he has over 20 years of experience in the Mining and Private Equity sectors as an executive and partner at Opportunity Private Equity Gestora de Recursos.

MÁRCIO GONTIJO DA SILVA

Ferrous Metals Director in Minas Gerais

Director of Bemisa's Group since 2011, he has over 30 years of experience in the implementation and development of large enterprises in heavy construction, civil construction, infrastructure, industrial, logistics and mining.

CLÁUDIO FERNANDES

Mining Director

Director of Bemisa's Group since 2015, he has over 37 years of experience in Operations and Project Development in the mining and chemical industry at companies such as Bunge, Galvani and Yamana. Mining Engineer from UFMG, master by USP and postgraduate in Business Management and Logistics from FGV.

ANA LUISA LEÃO FLAKSMAN

Legal Director

Director of Bemisa's Group since 2017, she has more than 20 years of experience in corporate, financial and infrastructure law, and has worked in some of the largest offices in Brazil. Lawyer graduate at PUC-Rio (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro), with an MBA from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas) and Post-Graduated in Mining Law from CEDIN (Centro de Estudos em Direito e Negócios).

FÁBIO GUIMARÃES

Exploration Director

Director at Grupo Bemisa since 2019, with over 20 years of experience in mineral exploration, having worked at companies such as BHP Billiton, Codelco, and Cleveland Cliffs. Geologist from UERJ (Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro) and MBA graduate from IBMEC (Instituto Brasileiro de Mercado de Capitais). Additionally, he is qualified by CBRR and a Member of AusIMM.

JOÃO RICARDO MASSARI PEREIRA

Chief Financial Officer

Diretor do Grupo Bemisa desde 2018, possui mais de 16 anos de experiência na indústria de mineração, em planejamento estratégico, finanças corporativas e novos negócios. Engenheiro formado pela FEI, MBA pelo IBMEC e PMD (Program for Management Development) pelo IESE. Iniciou sua carreira como estagiário na Bemisa.

MARCOS ANDRÉ GONÇALVES

Base Metal Business Development Director

Director of Bemisa's Group since 2022, he has over 29 years of experience in the mining industry. He acted as CEO of Codelco do Brasil and for other junior and major companies, currently he is the Chairman of ADIMB (Agência para o Desenvolvimento e Inovação do Setor Mineral Brasileiro). He participated in the creation and concept of CBRR (Comissão Brasileira de Recursos e Reservas) and was a member of ABPM (Associação Brasileira de Empresas de Pesquisa Mineral e Mineração).

FLAVIA SANTOS

People and Culture Director

Director of Bemisa's Group since 2023, she has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources management and strategy. She started her career at Losango, later at Ernst & Young, Vale and at her own HR consultancy company. Psycologist from PUC-RJ, with an MBA in Business Management (FGV) and MBA in Entrepreneurial Management at FDC (Fundação Dom Cabral), Founding Member of Ariele Brasil (Associação Brasileira de Psicossocioanálise) and Associated Professor at FDC.

HUMBERTO JOSÉ ROCHA BRAZ

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bemisa’s Group

He worked for 25 years in the Infrastructure and Heavy Construction sector at Andrade Gutierrez. Also worked as Director of Institutional Relations and later CEO of Brasil Telecom Participações S.A.

JOSÉ AUGUSTO TOURINHO DANTAS JÚNIOR

Bemisa’s Group Board Member since 2017

Holds a total of 48 years of experience in Business Management, with more than 17 years in the mining sector.

WASHINGTON RYDZ
Bemisa’s Group Board Member since 2013

Geologist from UFBA (Universidade Federal da Bahia), master in Mineral Exploration from the Imperial College of Science and Technology (UK) and an MBA in Administration from UFBA, he has over 53 years of experience managing mineral exploration projects in Brazil. Worked for several years at CBPM (Companhia Baiana de Pesquisa Mineral) where he managed many departments, mainly the heap leaching plant of Santa Luz (BA) gold mine. Former Exploration Director from Bemisa and member of the Business Council of Bemisa’s Group.

LEONARDO GUIMARÃES PINTO

Bemisa’s Group Board Member since 2010

Bachelor in Accounting from UERJ (2002), holds an Executive MBA in Corporate Finance from IBMEC-RJ (2005). Has been acting in Opportunity since 2001 and is currently Managing Partner at Opportunity Private Equity Gestora de Recursos Ltda.

He is a Fiscal Board Member at Santos Brasil Participações S.A., an Audit Committee Member at Petrorecôncavo S.A. and Belém Bioenergia Brasil S.A., and a Business Board Member at Bemisa Holding S.A., Planalto Piauí Participações e Empreendimentos S.A., and Bemisa Água Azul Mineração Ltda.

JOSÉ LUIS VIDAL

Bemisa’s Group Board Member since 2011

Electrical Engineer, postgraduate in Business Administration with specialization in Financial Decision Making and Risk Management, Innovation Leadership and World Economics. Business Board Member (CCA+) certified by Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa (IBGC), with over 25 years of experience in the transportation infrastructure sector.

Member of the Business Board of Directors at Santos Brasil S.A., Bemisa and Braskem; WV Logistics Associate; Professor at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV); Chairman of the Director's Directive Board of the National Association of Licensed Railways (ANFA); Coordinator of Governance, Compliance and Risk Management Improvement Program with emphasis in Transportation and Infrastructure at Instituto Latino-Americano de Governança e Compliance (IGCP) in partnership with the CNT System (Confederação Nacional do Transporte).

JOSÉ FERNANDO COURA

Bemisa’s Group Board Member since 2017

Mining Engineer graduated from Mining and Metallurgy School in Ouro Preto (MG) and specialized in Mineral Economy, acting for over 40 years in the mining-metallurgical sector, managing and conducting investments in the implementation and expansion of mineral projects, as well as advising (both technically and commercially) mining companies.

Has already been Mining and Energy Deputy Secretary at Minas Gerais state and is currently Chairman of the Deliberative Council at Sindiextra, Vice-President of FIEMG (Federação das Indústrias de Minas Gerais) and a Member of the Mining Thematic Council, Comin, at CNI (Confederação Nacional da Indústria).

VOLNER PEDRO MALINI

Bemisa’s Group Board Member since 2015

Metallurgical engineer from UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense), he has over 35 years of experience working in the application of iron ore. He worked at Vale, Companhia Siderúrgica Tubarão (CST/AMT) and Usiminas.

THIERS MANZANO BARSOTTI

Bemisa’s Group Board Member since 2011

Holds wide experience in mining and transport logistics, having held Businesses Unit Director at Vale and President Director at ALUNORTE (Alumina do Norte do Brasil S.A.), DOCEGEO (Rio Doce, Geologia e Mineração S.A.) and FCA (Ferrovia Centro Atlântica), besides being a Member of the Board of Directors of companies in the sector.
